A tribute to the beautiful city of London with this quote from London-based singer/songwriter Gary Go and a picture of course of one of the most famous landmarks of the city: the Tower Bridge. Taken at the end of the day that I spent in London.
The Tower Bridge is a combined bascule and suspension bridge over the River Thames and was opened in 1894. The longest span is 200ft (61m) and the bridge has a total length of 801ft (244m).
The photo was taken from the bank in front of the Tower of London.

In onze jacht op nieuwe nog niet eerder vertoonde plaatsen is het goed af en toe terug te keren naar die plaatsen die reeds bewezen hebben interessant te zijn en er dan nog een keer, met een frisse blik, een nieuwe foto van te maken.

Na drie dagen zonder pc ben ik hier terug.
Een van de meest gefotografeerde bruggen in de wereld denk ik, maar u nam een zeer mooie hoek waardoor alles perfect is te zien.

Hi Lars,

A classic London view and excellent shot in all respects. I would have loved though if there had been something that had made it a little more exciting. However, I am perfectly aware that this not always easy if you have limited time. I loved your inclusion of the man on the lawn in your Big Ben photo, but here something similar was of course not possible. TFS and have nice evening!

De Tower Bridge blijft een imposante brug - past dus perfect in je TE portfolio. De hoek is goed gekozen en mooi is ook hoe door de lucht het blauw domineert. Fijne plaat!

Hello Lars,

This is an excellent image, clean and crisp, with an elegant but simple composition. I like it very much, and your note — as usual first rate. In 1994 we sailed out on the Royal Viking Queen — a luxury small cruise ship that held only 212 passengers — and passed through the open drawbridge. And, we sailed to the Norwegian Fjords, and finally returned and sailed into Amsterdam, which you know well.

ou have a beautiful day here in London, I was here twice, both time it was cloudy and depressing. Now I see this bridge is so much more impressive and beuatiful than under the low light. This bridge impressed me more when I visited it than in photographs! It looks smaller in pictures and it's big enough to really catch my attention while looking at it or going across it!
