Sunny South Shields is situated at the mouth of the river Tyne in the North East of England and boasts of many attractions including the Arbeia Roman Fort, Souter Lighthouse the first in the world to be powered by electricity, the worlds first self righting lifeboat, Catherine Cookson exhibition, Fairground, Sandy Beaches, Marsden Rock.
