A backwater of River Muick, just as it starts as an outflow from Loch Muick.
The loch itself is 2 miles long. It is fed from the west by the Allt an dubh Loch, which flows down from Dubh Loch.
Glen Muick commands magnificent views of the nearby peaks including Lochnagar, the highest at 1155 m.
