Photographer’s Note

A group of lassies out for a 'hen night', or maybe in this case a 'hen afternoon'.

A 'hen night' happens when a girl is about to get married & all her mates & female relatives dress up go out for a celebration together. It can get quite rowdy as well.

I also liked the fact that they were walking beside Shirley Valentine (the name is taken from the film), though they were definitely not heading for Greece.

The sign behind them says it all - maybe?

Nice capture of this event, these kind of shots no preparation, I like the smaller lady in the middle of the photo, she is bursting with energy.
Nice colours and good focus. Hope the night went well for them.....
Yes, the road sign?? maybe the bride will have a baby before the sign goes.
