Selfridges Football Kid Photo

Photographer’s Note

The city of Birmingham has seen some changes in recent years. For me, the new Selfridges building doesn't 'work', but it certainly makes a striking and iconic backdrop.

Shot using the ISO 200 setting on my camera, so I used despeckle in certain selected parts of the photo to remove noise, epecially on the boy in the foreground's face. The contrast and saturation was upped slightly using the Virtual Photographer PS plug-in.

very original picture, this composition is really cool. well, i am not sure how comment this image, it is very original, the running guy on this overexposed wall, the ball, the kis in the corner, the girl on the balcony, the background. i am sure you ae proud of this picture, good stuff

wow, superb! its like a glimpse into the future. The three persons form a triangular perspective to the square frame which is ideally unusual, combines with the rounded architecture and rounded elementals, you have a really rich picture.

Whatta composition. Really weird shapes, tilt and action. The woman in pink clothes and the guy playing soccer, and the red in the corner.

This has got to be one of the best pictures of the bullring that I have ever seen! Brilliant...

I think this would also look excellent in black and white...
