Photographer’s Note
I took this shot at Murrayfield which is the stadium used by the Scotland rugby team. It was taken before the Scotland - South Africa match that was part of the 2008 autumn test series.
The match was won 14-10 by South Africa. However, it was the best Scotland performance I had seen for a long time.
The shot shows rows of empty seats. This is now a common sight at Murrayfield. The Scottish team has not had many victories and this has lead to poor attendances.

Hi Scott, really great shot, capturing perspective well. I really like the contrasting colours, the steps look sepia! Hope Scotland do a bit better after your photo (although we've got nothing to write home about either with the Wallabies). Regards, Lisa.

Hi Scott,
(For a minute there I thought this was Stamford Bridge! No, I'm just kidding...)
Anyway, I really like this shot, with a lovely symmetrical composition, good depth and great saturation of that wonderful deep blue (also wonderful on the row letters).
I hope the Scottish teams will pick up courage from the South Africa game and go on to win some games...you may choose which one, haha! I occasionally watch a six nations game in the pub and I'll be cheering for Scotland in the next one, OK?
The old and somewhat worn down stand reminds me a bit of the main stand of my home team, except that we don't even have plastic seats yet!

hi Scott,
good perspective given by the stairs and the blue chairs, we can feel here the spirit of the old british stadiums and we can imagine the athmosphere when the scottish fans will come in and sing for their team.
