This site is quite common over the Mournes on stormy days. Due to the mountains close proximity to the shore, the winding coming in from the sea blows up the mountain side and effectively blows holes in the cloud cover to allow rays of sunlight to shine through the fine sea haze

Hi Chris,
This might be a common occurrence but you were there to capture the image in all its heavenly glory.
Very impressive shot, I like the way the highlights are completely blown out in the cloud and at the same time you've maintained excellent definition on the rays of sunlight coming through the dust particles.
Lovely composition, an excellent capture.
