Photographer’s Note
Loch of Skene is an artificial lake located about 15 km west of Aberdeen. It is a shallow (less than 2 m deep), eutrophic, lowland loch surrounded by fringing reedbeds and birch-willow carr.
The loch supports an internationally important roost of Icelandic Greylag Goose Anser anser, as well as Icelandic Whooper Swan Cygnus cygnus. Both swans and geese feed away from the lake on surrounding agricultural land during the day.

Hi Peter,
first of all thanks for the note: short but informative, according to the best spirit of TE.
Talking about the photo, the composition and the lighting of the water plant (or whatsoever it is) are good while, the overall color tone is a bit strange to my eyes. The result is a picture a bit sullen and dark.
With a bit of postprocessing you could get a far better result, as the raw material is promising.
Thanks for posting and have a nice week, Dario.
PS Sorry for my poor english. I hope that my comments can be understandable.

Hello Peter,
Une très belle compo et une lumière superbe particulièrement en avant plan.
Les couleurs sont magnifiques et le format convient très bien.
