Not the most glamerous city in the world yet i thought this was a nice shot of the new arch design in the town centre, the clouds have quite an atmosphere about them

Put some skyscrapers in the background and you are looking at something very similar to the "Blade Runner" cenarios! :) Good composition. I like how the lines on the ground match the lights on the archs and the sky, which has this evil atmosphere..

I only now got aware of my first impression. It remainds me some of the cenarios of Quake Arena III, which have exactly this type of lights. Nice!

nice !!!! almost a favourite, because of its strong science-fiction look.
would have been every better with a bit more sharpness. exposure is perfect, all those lights (espacially on the ground) look like lasers
well done !

Looks like a sci-fi movie set! The light lines on the floor and the arch.
It doesn’t look sharp enough to me; you should use a tripod or a place the camera on something.

Hi Brad, welcome to TE!

Cool image! As i'm sure you're aware by now, maybe sharpen up the image a little?
Interesting fact about those lines on the ground is that they're supposed to represent the different time zones around the world, when seen from the correct angle. I had to allow a little imagination when i heard this, but i could see what they were getting at.

Hello Brad,
I'm a Coventry lad and photographer. I have a few pictures of the 'Whittle Arch', one of which I may post. Your choice of viewpoint and time of day is inspired. The exposure is good, as the balance of light and lighting appears controlled. I guess your choice of not being absolutely central was a compositional one, i.e. the spires on the right and the ugly hotel on the left.
