Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,
Today I am posting a shot which I took whilst on holiday in Wales. We were very fortunate to have lovely weather whilst we were there which gave good colour to the sky and the sea.
This particular shot was taken from the headland at Solva looking down towards the sea. There were many boats anchored in the harbour at Solva but on this particular day, I was lucky enough to catch one of the yachts coming back to its berth.
pp slight crop, adj brightness and contrast, added border and text
I am sorry that, somehow, whilst saving the shot, I lost the technical information. Despite that, I would appreciate any feedback that is offered.
Thank you for stopping by! :-)

This is a beautiful scene. I love the diagonal path of the water and the sence of peace.
I did find that there was a colour cast which I tried to address in my workshop. I spent the time with your image only because it is very compelling - I am not trying to imply that there is anything wrong with your version.

Yes I think that was just what this picture needed to really show of the splendor of this place - a "tiny" yacht!
Bev, lovely shot, lovely part of the world,

Hi Bev. A marvellous scene portrayed here. I've had a look at the WS, but I think too much blue has been added; I suspect your colour balance is more natural. At first I didn't like the blurry headland in foreground, but in fact it helps to focus on the yacht, so beautifully backgrounded by those wonderful cliffs. Wonderful place, by the look of it. I think your broad framing at the bottom requires a bit more to balance it at the top.

Andrew

Hello Bev,
Good to see you here at TE. The two boats really provide scale, and give good depth. Now this is what I call a pleasing landscape view. Well taken and with good tech details. Best regards, Danilo

The composition is excellent and well balanced in this one thanks to the inclusion of the rocks in the foreground. You were right to focus on the boat. The colour of the water is marvellous. A beautiful shot.
Best wishes

Hi Beverley,
Very beautiful photo. The composition is good with the fuzzy area on foreground which gives a good depth of view. The small sailing boat gives us the scale of this landscape. I love the wonderful color of the water too. Good job ;)

Hi Bev,
Beautiful coastal image with the tiny blue sail boat moving against this wonderfully rugged coastline.
The turquoise sea contrast brilliantly with the lush green hills.
Wonderful sharp details and lovely lines to these craggy rocks.
Regards, Tom
