Good Morning Everyone,
I don't often post interior shots but when I posted a shot of Chirk Castle, a couple of days ago, people wanted to know if it was possible to explore the inside of the castle. Well, here is the answer. This is just one of the many interesting rooms that you can explore. It is a treasure trove of history.
As workshops, I will post two more exterior views of the castle here and here which, by contrast, will show how a formidable fortress has, over centuries, been modified into a family home.
I wish you a happy day from a very sunny Lancashire, Bev :-)

Good morning Beverly,
Great view indoor's the castle halls, it has so many elements on display, looks as the former owners was traveling around very often, and collected many arms and plates for display on the cupboards.
Fine clear photo, good use of mild light.
Did not touch the nettles, we were warned not to get off the paths. Thanks.

Fine capture of this impressive and well maintained interior with much to see. A well exposed image with superb colours and detail. The two visitors give us a good sense as to the size of the massive fireplace. I wish you a pleasant Bank Holiday weekend.

Nice to see inside this magnificent old castle. Your chosen POV and light management allows us to see the interior at its best. Love the panelled walls and the superb fireplace with its decorated over mantle. Interesting why some of the display racks on the wall are empty.
Maybe running costs are high and the artefacts are off to the auction. Ha ha
Have a nice weekend

love exploring the interior of places like this. It is hard to imagine living in a castle and when you see it all pristine like this, do wonder if it was ever kept clean and tidy like this by the original owners. I expect not. Wonderfully detailed shot full of fascinating artefacts.
Have a great weekend - Brian.

Je trouve très intéressants que tu aies laissé les visiteurs de cette galerie dans l'image qui témoigne de leur grand intérêt pour les choses exposées en vitrine. La gestion de la lumière est impeccable.

What A coincidence.
I was watching an old episode of Bargain Hunt last evening & this very room was featured by Tim Wannacot.
Good to see that people can get up close to the items on display rather than being kept at arms length by barriers.
Keep on shooting interiors please.
John from Oz.

its certainly more rustic than i thought, I was thinking it would have been more elegant - but thats not a bad thing at all, just not what I had expected.
the items up on the wall are pretty darn cool, i have to say! And i think i see guns in the cabinet too. That large brown dresser on the left is beautiful.
thanks for posting this one even though you may not have wanted to :)

This looks like a museum I would like to see, there are many interesting details in this picture. I guess there are plenty more when you can see all of it. I like the inclusion of people in the picture, always much better.

Thank you very much for your nice comments to my photo. I appreciate it very much.
I like this photo very much because of the superb arrangement. You have selected superb corner viewpoint allowing to see the whole interesting wall from diagonal perspective. The light and clarity is superb. The two visitors are adding nice life to the scene. Well done. Greetings, Miro

I was attracted by the interior of what I suppose was a castle and it was, a well taken one that lets appreciate the very interesting details, like the furniture, armors and arms
Also like the inclusion of the tourist ( he more interested than she) it seems
Congrats and enjoy the week
