Photographer’s Note

Sun setting over Bristol Channel at Nash Point - west of Cardiff.
Photo was taken at 19:31, about half hour before sunset.
Camera settings: 33 mm zoom, AV mode, -2EV exposure compensation, ISO-200, 1/3200 sec exposure.
I converted the same Raw file twice - first conversion was done with no additional exposure compensation for the sky and cliff on the right. Another conversion was done with positive exposure compensation to make more details of water surface and coast visible, but it also introduced some noise. Two resulting images were later merged into one. Both Raw conversion were done with color temperature set to 4200 K.
