Photographer’s Note

All of these latest shots are similar as they were all taken within a magical 5 minutes when the light was real good, i just laid my tripod there and rotated the head normally i am pacing up and down the beach looking for the shot but on this particular evening i just anchored myself in the same spot.

Superb composition here David, with that strange rock formation making a superb foreground.
The light on the cliffs in the background is wonderful.
I like the golden highlight on the rocks in the middle distance, and maybe this shot would have been even better if you had taken it a little earlier (or later) when the rocks in the foreground were similarly lit.
Excellent work though, well done.

Your sunset-and-sea shots are just great, and this one I like it too. Beautiful composition, with interesting texture of the stones and soft light.

Yes Dave, great work and a fine return to form. I always seem to run around but you are correct in staying put. This location should compose ok from any angle. Its far more important to wait for the light and be ready.

Another great shot from that day! I still think that the horizontal one is the best, because it has more of a sweeping appearance to the shoreline. This one also has less light reflecting off the stones, so they are not as well defined. They're all great images though!
