Photographer’s Note
Taken at the small seaside resort of Porthcawl on the south coast of Wales. Porthcawl has some great sandy beaches, but this rocky area topped by grassy cliffs is a more interesting spot with lots of rock pools to explore to find limpets, crabs and other sea creatures. The water is the Bristol Channel which separates Wales from England and in the background you can see the Mendip Hill in Somerset, England.

Nice shot Joan I like the colours of the rocks and the big waves, we are weak infront of this element.

I do like coastal shots Joan, and this is a good one, well composed with lovely light and great sharpness and contrast. The hazy English mountains provide a nice background. I never realised you can actually see England from Wales!

The hard rocks with so unfriendly texture matches the soft seagreen so well. I like the composition of it too with this irregular triangel of rock in one corner leaving the rest to sea and sky. And to England of course, sorry.
There are some spots on the rock that could do with a bit of dodging.
