Photographer’s Note
I took this when on a walk in the Neath Valley in South Wales. We had intended to investigate the Aberdulais Falls but had arrived too late in the day and found them closed to the public and locked. We walked across the busy road, however, and find a rather pretty part of the world that we shared with one other person and a seagull.
Wonderful to find such an oasis in the outskirts of such an industrialised town as Swansea.

Hello, Rachel.
A fine picture with lovely reflections in that still water. The diagonal line of the top of the weir on the right leads the eye nicely toward the distant shore and then that leads us off to the left.
Just a pity the sky is so pale - it looks lovely in the reflection. I've done a simple wee workshop for you, just slightly to darken the sky, increase the saturation a tad and sharpen it a little. See what you think.
A great picture all the same!
Best wishes,
Dad. XX
