Photographer's Note
Taken at Rhossili Bay in the Gower (Wales) on Friday. I thought the front of the shipwreck looked very much like a dragons head complete with teeth and eye.
This seemed very fitting seeing as the headland in the distance is called Worms Head.

colossally great...points of reference everywhere and all integrated into a highly charged mood shot...
i have been over the worm...i think the bridge part had collapsed or was unsafe..
and i love the gower
but i have never seen it like this

Hi Adam,
WOW! My goodness, I can't enough of your beautiful shots! The colours in this scene are just stunning, the addition of the shipwreck is great. It looks indeed like a dragons head. I also like the distant view of the ocean and the land. Great composition, stunning colours and so much detail! Fantastic work, Adam!

Hi Adam,
Words don't often fail me, but they have on this one! I don't think I've ever seen a shot with such amazing clarity and colours. You were certainly blessed with a wonderful sky on this day. Everything about it is about as perfect as you can get and it's gone into my favourites. (PS It would be interesting to know the exposure details) Best wishes, Vicky

I know this place well Adam riding the breakers in on this beach - a really fine shot! Great light, colour, form and composition. The second night of our honeymoon in April 1979 we stayed here up in a hotel/guest house betwen your pic and the Worms Head - there was an enormous storm that night and it felt as if the whole building would be swept away - it was really something.
In the morning we walked the high ground behind the beach in your photo and found 3 dead white horses - it was some storm! So I can easily go with your imagination of the dragon's head here - the Great Worm of Rhossili!
best wishes Kev

Excellent! You have found a brilliant composition, with remains of the shipwreck occupying the foreground and pointing the way to the headland in the background. I really like the reflection off the pools of water, which lightens the foreground and helps to balance the photo. Great work!

Hello Adam,
Great shot with the shipwreck and the colors in the sky. Angle of ship is perfect with the V shape leading ones eye through the scene. I believe the wreck appears as a whale when it is breaching, only with large barnacles attached.
Excellent...

Hi Adam,
excellent photo, this strange "monster" in this warm and colourful sunset, seems like a plan of a science fiction film...

Hi Adam,
I've seen quite a few of your shots up before but I think this is the first I've commented on. To be honest, the photography you excel in is really not my sort of thing... that said, this shot is absolutely outstanding and I don't know anybody that wouldn't like to see it hanging on their wall :)
The beautiful rich sky makes it, along with the great reflections in the puddles. The 1:2 composition is great too, and works really well with this shot.
Thanks for sharing. Lewis.
