Photographer’s Note
The Savages.
Talybont, Powys. UK
Most unusually, I decided to take my camera for a walk at 7.30 this morning. Actually, this is completely unheard of. More usually, at about this hour, I'm doing battle with a half-man half-unicorn on the outskirts of civilisation, or greeting foreign dignitaries at the door of an underwater tea party - if you take my meaning.
Taking a break from these exertions; peeking beneath the ra-ra skirt, not seeing a beautiful emerald pool, waiting for the savages. Am I still dreaming?

Hi Colin,
a great expression of nature's strange ways. Good exposure to get the correct lighting. Have to give waterfalls a try one day!

Hi Colin,
Impressive shot, I too have yet to experiment with slow shutter speeds. Interesting you choose f/14.0 for the aperture. Was this to get the sharpness into the shot. As you can tell I'm still quite the novice. Beautiful balance you have acieved here, the vertical crop works very well. Very pleasing to the eye. You must have nature at your back door.
Cheers

Hello Colin. A piece untouched nature, - a kind still life. Very beautiful colors and light. It is a photo for eye and soul. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Wonderful and original shot Colin. With the silky waterfall and the dangling green tendrils of the ra-ra skirt it looks quite surreal - this would have made a great cover for a 70's "concept album" by a band such as Yes. Nice work.
cheers

Hi Colin. Looking at your beautiful gallery, (especially your picture of USA), I found this one incredible.
There is something strange, magic in that one, looks like a painting. The different colours fit well together. I like it a lot. Good job. Kind messages.

Colin,
This is a gorgeous photo and it spans so much info & detail. Well done. It's a shame you didn't keep shooting vertically and stitch the photos together for a vertical panorama.
My wife and I are visiting Wales in September and hope to see scenes like this one. Can you recommend any similar locations of beauty that are not tourist traps?
TFS,
MP
