Photographer’s Note
Tethering the Clouds
Talybont on Usk, Powys, UK
We've had a lot of poor weather recently, cloud cover hanging over the area for days at a time, and the recent Bank Holiday weekend was a total wash out.
Well, I've had my suspicions for some time, and now I've got the photographic evidence to prove it. Yes, one of the local landowners has been tethering the clouds. Whilst not actually illegal, it's certainly not very public spirited and has a dire effect on the local tourist economy. Still, nothing a pair of bolt cutters can't remedy, and we're sure of better weather in the days to come.

Colin, very clever, I love it, simple, to the point, in focus and lots of fog, great capture.

Hi Colin,
And they want to get away, those clouds!! Just see how tight that rope is! That should be a crime, especially in the UK where good weather in itself without all that thetering is already hard to find ;-).
Nice diagonal. Clever idea. Would have loved to see the bigger picture in the workshop, but also interesting to leave us with something to guess. Nice.
Greetings,
Dennis
