Photographer’s Note
Insignificance.
River Usk, Llangynidr, Powys, UK
Eroded limestone riverbed and iron stained water. Nature playing the role of abstract artist.
These formations spend most of the year under water, but the water level is so volatile, one never knows what one will find.

Very interesting lines, if it were not for the moss and highlights it strongly reminds me of an abstract painting - ah I just see in your note that this were your thoughts too. Really well seen.
I know you're not much into post-processing, but did you consider to increase the abstraction by pushing contrasts or even converting to b&w? See workshop for some quick ideas.

Great job Colin! This is something that I never seem to be able to do, find the beauty in the little details that we are surrounded with. Great eye to be able to spot this, and frame it in such an interesting way. The colour is outstanding too. Well done!

Hi Colin!
I think, concidence is the greatest abstract artist ever. Of course it need somebody with a sensible eye and a camera to document it. Well seen and captured.

I like this study Colin. You have some nice abstracts in your collection and this one has great, earthy tones with interesting shapes.

Hi Colin,
Interesting work, away from the usual pictures of buildings, sceneries and people...
Commendable here is the intricate detail in the image...

Very good Colin, great abstract work and a wonderful pov. God I hate saying pov but you know what I mean ;) A lot of people don't see this kind of shot and it is much harder to see than many would think. Great colours also.
Nice one.
