Overflow
Lower Neuadd Reservoir, Powys, UK
A misty afternoon in the Brecon Beacons.
Depending on the weather, this place is sometimes a staircase, sometimes a waterfall.
Although, of course, the water from this location is still used, the surrounding Victorian infrastructure and buildings have long since fallen into disprepair. Abandoned and boarded up for the most part.

Hello Colin, good evening :))) I like when the water "stands still" and falls down like a curtain and you managed this effect really well. Your combination is somehow strange although I must say I like it in many ways. It is something between nature and how men interfered this flow and made the water run through these stairs and I guess it must look rather strange when the water is missing but it also does with "my" natural water fall where my cottage is and sometimes it looks exciting and sometimes a little sad when the falls go dry in summer. Good work indeed ... enjoy your TE night ... Barbara.

Hello Colin,I like the symmetry of the falls with the natural beauty of the hills in the bg.Your long exposure of the water has produced a soft effect which is pleasing as it contrasts with the hardness of the steps.

Colin,
Love the silk like water flow, very smooth and and soft. Color really nice and rich in tone, though muted by not over saturated. I was just in a Bonneville Dam where they have stairs like this with water flowing down and the salmons are going back up stream returning from the sea, so accosionally we see it going up the stair. very much fun to watch. This one is really charming and lovely, though it's man made, you made it look natural.

quel contraste entre ces "escaliers" et la nature autours. le cadrage l'amplifie à merveille et le long temps de pause donne à l'eau un très bel aspect, comme un voile un peu surnaturel...

Hi Colin,
The timing here is excellent, long enough to blur the water but no too long to blur all the details, I like the central composition,

I love how the water stands still and you managed this very well. A very interesting and effective perspective with the architecture.
Great light.
