Good Morning Everyone,
This is South Stack Lighthouse on the western shores of Anglesey. It sits on a ridge of rock which is almost like an island.
This shot is very contre-jour, as I tried to show the metal tunnel which has been created to access the lighthouse from the cliff top.
As a w/s, which is here I will show the view from the lighthouse across to the mainland. You will, I hope, be able to see what a steep path links the two. There are over 400 steps down the cliff side to access the footbridge.
Have a lovely day, Bev :-)
Here, the weather is wet ... VERY WET! A stream of water is cascading down the edge of the lane!

this photo has amazing POV and it determines the whole character of the picture. All the elements of it seem to be perfectly related to each other and leading to another. The white bridge takes us towards the next plan in natural way and the lighthouse on the top of the hill finishes off the whole composition. The colors have been well given and the light well managed in order to achieve equal lighting in every part of the picture.
Well done and thanks for sharing

una composizione di grande effetto per un soggetto particolarmente interessante e che hai già avuto occasione di mostrarci da altre angolazioni.
Ottima la nitidezza ed eccellenti i colori.
Ciao e buona settimana

A very well composed picture. The covered bridge is placed along a diagonal line and leads up to the lighthouse. The lighthouse is placed at the third and the jet track continues along the diagonal line. Interesting complementary picture too, I get a feeling of the Chinese Wall. Interesting picture and note too.

lovely dry looking landscape in this perfectly composed and executed shot. It looks idyllic and full of amazing textures that make the drama of this part of the coast all the more impressive and beautiful. There is something romantic and fascinating about lighthouses. Presented superbly.
Have a good week - B.
Sun shining brightly here, but looks gloomy again for the rest of the week.

Looking at the workshop, it is evidently a bit of a hike to reach this spot! But, it was all worth it to capture this lovely view looking toward the lighthouse set against that fine sky. The image is very well framed, making excellent use of the vertical format and allowing the lines of the tunnel to provide an interesting and contrasting lead-line. The lighting is very attractive and the colours natural and appealing. Very good sharpness.

J'aime beaucoup le point de vue. Juste avant d'emprunter cette belle passerelle qui conduit au phare. Un cadrage vertical qui donne de la profondeur à la composition. Un endroit magnifique.

Good evening Beverly,
I was looking for the right words to begin, but all I could come-up with is to say, this is a dramatic POV.
The modern bridge play an importent role in this scene, while leading the view to the light-tower's hill. Yet, it enhances the sense of depth and contrast over pic. space.
Cheers, for a most impressive location and well done photo.

very interesting composition and a beautiful location. Nice to see both views so that we can imagine the context. The metal construction leads the eye nicely to the island. You had a lovely sky. The light in this direction is quite challenging but the final effect is very pleasant.
Very encouraging to visit Wales :)

This is a fantastic presentation of this lighthouse, and next time I am beside the sea in Dublin I will look across the Irish sea and imagine what lies on the far side! The perspective you chose is really great, an excellent use of thirds in presenting the lighthouse itself in the top third, while the lower part of the frame really enhances the sense of height as we look down into that deep chasm under the bridge. It does in fact make me feel a little dizzy looking down there! And judging by your great workshop, this would not be a trip to undertake light heartedly!
Thanks as always

The bridge as well as the rock and the gap between both are an interesting foreground for the view of the lighthouse.
The weather may be very wet there but you certainly had an excellent day. I like the lines of clouds in the sky.
Perfect sharpness, wonderful colours.
Best regards, Paul

Beau point de vue sur le phare depuis la passerelle métallique qui donne de la profondeur à l'image. Je trouve le Workshop très intéressant puisqu'il nous permet de bien voir l'environnement. Bien fait.

Hello Bev - This lighthouse reminds me a little of one we saw in Ireland, it was similarly situated on a rocky promontory reached by steps and a bridged chasm. Your vantage point captures the dramatic setting and as my eyes follow the lead in line provided by the bridge I can enjoy the colours and textures of the rock formations. Good, well managed light and colour add to the attractiveness of the scene.
Warm regards Rosemary
PS. Hope you haven't started to develop webbed feet!

Nice POV on the bridge and the lighthouse. The composition is very well balanced, the lighthouse is at crossing of thirds and the bridge guides our look from the foreground to the lighthouse.

I like your Pov, on to the scene of this tunnel bridge and on to the lighthouse and rugged landscape. Super sky with the wispy clouds and plane vapour.
Splendid light and colours, well managed and presented.

Your POV is quite spectacular and the upward puts the lighhouse well in evidence over this superb sky. You have managed the backlight very well and the image has good colors and sharpness. Interesting WS also.
