Photographer's Note
Reaching the end of my walk on Anglesey breakwater I was reminded of the power of the sea by this scene. The small boat supplementing the lighthouse to help those who may encounter dangerous waters given the overhead storm clouds.
Interestingly the SBS (naval version of SAS) were on manouevres in the most powerful boats you have ever seen just behind me on the breakwater as I took this shot. I felt safer knowing they were there rather than the little yellow boat!
Enjoy.

Hi Mike,
You have achieved a really interesting moody scene here. The dark cloudy sky is amazing and created a very special atmosphere. Like it a lot. A perfect composition!

Hi Michael !!!
Lovely seascape, the yellow boat and the lighthouse are well exposed in the stormy like condition. The wide screen/panoramic option suits well the frame. Tfs.

The yellow just leaps out of this one, huh? The tones here are wonderfully suggestive of an approaching storm, and I've often found bright colors to be even more vivid in that lighting, a fact which you've highlighted well here Mike. I worry a bit for that tiny boat in an approaching storm - you're right that the scene emphasizes the scale of the open water, and the boat drives that point home well.

Hello Michael,
I wonder how many people appreciate the difficulty in taking photographs in poor light, perpetually. I think you have done an excellent job of using what elements were available to give drama, good composition and a fine sense of depth.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Michel,
nice the snapshot with the yellow boat to looks so tiny in front of the sea as the whole area and under this moody sky to ask someone where is it going..
I like the good reportage shot as the decisive moment of the capture.
HAve a good afternoon,Danos

Hi Mike
Great how the yellow stands out against the blue/grey-ish tones of the rest of the scene. Good crop too. Thumbs up from Antwerp.
