Good Morning Everyone,
This herring gull was plodding a lonely line as it walked along the sea wall at Cemaes Bay. Usually the birds can be found in groups or large flocks but this was an isolated individual.
I feared, at first, that it may be injured, but no, after a long, wall walk, it did eventually fly away.
I did desaturate the wall but only because it was a very similar colour to the bird and I wanted the gull to stand out rather than be camouflaged.
Have a lovely day, Bev :-)

Toujours aux aguets ces oiseaux de la la mer.Ils surveillent bien leur environnement mais c'est la nourriture qui les intéressent.Bon cliché avec la bonne netteté sur l'il.

Hi Bev,a very dangerous place to walk for a man,but not for this seagull...ehehe...a very original minimalistic capture made with this original diagonal perspective, very good DOF for the best bird detail and a nice scenery in background made by the blurred water.Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

not my favourite little fellows these. When you live in a seaside town, like I do, these birds wake you up at 4 am in the summer, screech overhead nearly all day, roost on your chimneys and sh*t on your car, washing and windows. But I do enjoy watching the youngsters learning to fly and pestering their mum's for food even when fully grown. Isn't nature wonderful! Glad this one was not injured.
Enjoy the week ahead - B.

Il semble un brin ébouriffé avec un regard un peu perdu sur son mur qui forme une superbe diagonale avec le bleu de l'eau qui vient contraster. L'ensemble est d'une superbe netteté.

This is quite cute, but it's also a simple but nice composition of basically two colours, divided by a diagonal. It's perfectly sharp and I wouldn't have thought of the desaturation of the wall unless you had pointed it out. It looks very naturally grey to me.

Very nice framing with this diagonal line dividing the image, and the camouflaged gull is really interesting in the composition! Excellent sharpness and colors! Beautiful job!

A fine original composition with lovely contrast of the vivid blue with the grey of the rocks. The bird does stand out against the bg with excellent clarity with its beak and feet providing nice accents.
Thanks for sharing.

Un beau contraste du bleu de la mer a celui des rochers gris, le cadrage et la prise au top de l'oiseau, très jolie composition

Charming capture of the seagull enjoying sun in a solitary way, may be angry with his group?
Anyway watching him you composed a good diagonal capture of strong contrasts
Well seen, regards

Very well narrated about the gull who was isolated from its flocks and walking on the sea wall, very nice composition and put the gull in this frame for maintaining the Rule of Third, light and color were unique,
warm regards and have a nice week,
