Ah the title, long story but basically my father many many years ago had to rescue a climber in distress with his knee well and truly stuck, he could not free the knee so went off to summoned the rescue team but before they left their supper they asked if the fellow was in danger, my father said not really. After finishing their supper all they could find to free his leg was a pound of butter so off they went in the decending darkness to liabally apply the butter which did work. What a happy ending.
