My first visit to Snowdonia National Park, and how lucky was I to get weather like this? Wall to wall sunshine for two days - absolutely spectacular.
This photo was taken from the Northern shore of Llyn Idwal near Ogwen Cottage on the A5.
This was a hand-held shot taken just before we began the ascent of Y Garn. Sadly we were unable to reach the top due to the snow and ice on the climb. Crampons were a necessity!

What a wonderful near to nature and obviously unspoilt landscape! The mirroring here emphasizes its beauty in an amazing way. I like this impression of wideness here. A photo to look at a bit longer!
Greetings from Germany - and have a nice weekend!

Excellent wilderness scene! The reflection is great providing a nice mirror image. The reflection adds depth and balance for the scene. The lighting and colors are great as is the photo's sharpness and DOF. The off center positioning of the mountain works well here.

Llyn Idwal was one of my favorites. Like you, I had absolutely no rain or even clouds while I was in northern Wales--a rarity, but I'll take it! This is a nice shot, different from the standard view looking over at the Devil's Kitchen. Love that fantastic reflection, and you certainly took your time to make sure the horizon was properly leveled (I checked the alignment of the mountains with their reflections and it was spot on). Thanks for sharing. Hope all your weather is like this!
P.S. - I followed the link--fantastic shots! You should post more of them. :)

I know this place. I pass it quite a few times over the course of a year I spend a lot of time in Wales taking pics. You've done a cracking job here - pin sharp and crystal clear - lovely perfect still reflection.
Would be nice to see you posting on here again with shots like this.
