On the road from Betws-y-Coed ("Prayer house in the Wood") to the Irish Ferry in Holyhead we spotted this charming ivy-covered cottage by a stone bridge.

This is a fine capture, a vy surreal view of this house that the natural world is fighting to claim back for its own. I always wonder if this ivy would bring bugs to the house, or spiders perhaps. I guess the owners here don't care either way and how good for the eagle eyed photographer who gets to shoot it. Nice inclusion of the bridge too to give very nice depth to the view, and the greens speak loudly of a wet and rainy country.

If it wasn't for the windows I wouldn't have known it was a cottage. Probably why I have never spotted it on my many visits to and through Betws-y-Coed.
Have a nice weekend
