An early evening walk around Cardiff Bay brought me to this gem, a building I knew existed, but knew nothing about..
Of course, it was closed, so although the public are freely admitted, all I could do was peer through the window.
For those who want to see more, a fascinating virtual tour can be viewed here

surreal, like a ray, emerging from the depth of the ocean...

I'm a huge fan of such new modern styles.
The 'window' photo is great too, probably enjoy it a little bit more than this one! :)
but here we do get to see the larger viewpoint, the wide wings spread from edge to edge.
excellent lighting you got from the underside of this strange structure.
looks fantastic in this dark setting.

Wow! That's a wonderful "virtual tour" to which you gave us a link! I wonder what sort of "stitching" software they used to make up those huge composite images? The images are really very clear and sharp too.
But so is this picture. In fact, I'm sure I was able to see from where you had taken this in the "tour" as well. I can certainly see it on your "Google" map.
Your composition here is excellent and the details and sharpness are exquisite. Lovely warm tones and colours and the wetness of the ground has brought out some beautiful reflections.

Hi Martin !!
great result from your efforts here ..... under difficult conditions.
It is of course a very nice building and it looks spectacular with all the internal illumination.
2 sec exposure ...... perfect.
