Photographer's Note
Probably easiest way to take pictures - find an interesting poster and subject to fit, don't you think so?
Nobody has marked this note useful

I am sure none of them would agree to this shot, for the obvious reasons. I like it for its originality. The compo is nice and the colours very good. Well done.

On the whole, I am not a fan of posters in pictures, but I think you made the very best use of this one. It is really a very clever moment...
It is also as clear as the day...

Visited your gallery and discovered your very interesting daily life picture. This one is very contrasted and gives a two generation spirit.

Nice one Maciej! Did you have to wait long for the "right" lady to come along? ;-)
cheers Leon.

Hello,
I agree, been tempted for years by that combination, but yours works brilliantly.

Easy to do...not always so easy to do it really well - like many aspects of photography.....there are so many different timescales in applying photography .......as a quick candid image ...which may or may not have involved some waiting ......this is just great. Not just a funny moment ...which is fine and dandy...but the more you look into it quite poignant too - it's also an image with all the hallmarks of great juxtaposition....the right poster, the right 'type' of person, good attitude differential, great supporting cast of other written material in the image, a good, near classical compsition utilisng the thirds and the classical relationship along the diagonal bisecting the picture plane...all of these things make it work.....I've seen plenty that don't.
The poignancy - well simply, the message that the older woman is that girl.....the statement on ageing and what it does to all of us...especially when it's just happened to you (like me and more importantly some of the women around me) shifts the appreciation of this image to a different gear.........
best wishes Kev
