Photographer’s Note
The most Westerly point on the Isle of Skye, giving excellent views over Moonen Bay to Waterstein Head and out over the Minch to the Western Isles.
The point is said to be the best place on Skye to see whales, dolphins and porpoises. The sea around the point is teeming with sea-birds including gannets, black guillemots, razorbills and shags. The lighthouse tower at it tip is 62 feet high and stands 142 feet above sea-level.

Hi Stephen
I like very much the high POV, with the large view on the land and bay, and the extension of the rocks to the sea as a finger pointed at the horizon. The light is beautiful, specially on greens. That's a good think to have included the house; it gives a better idea of the scale, as well as the lonely (and tiny)walker on the way. Well done!

Hi Stephen,
Very nice photo! The landscape is really beautiful. I love the colours, especially the fresh green as well as the lighting. The rocks in the foreground frame the photo really well and add to the depth of the photo. The details are wonderful and the cliffs of the most Westerly point are magnificent, dwarfing the lighthouse. This reminds me of the most Easterly point here in Australia, Byron Bay, with its lighthouse :)
Thanks for sharing,
Claudz

Hi Stephen:
Nice shot of Neist Point. Hopefully I'll be here next year. I like both the inclusion of the boulders in the foreground and the general zoomed out view, giving an idea of the vastness of the Scottish Highlands. Good job.

Stephen,
This is a fine shot! Your composition is great using the road to lead the eye through the shot. The rocks in the foreground add a nice point of interest. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

Nice light and shade. I like the winding path leading to the point so good pov. Did you take any closer to the cliffs? I hope so. I got some nice ones years ago.

Hello Stephen,
My apologies....I haven't visited your site for quite some time, and from this photo I can see what I have been missing. This is absolutely superb. The POV provides us such a wonderful view from the foreground rocks to the distant tip of the point. Colours and clarity too are perfect. Very well done.
Cheers Grant

Hello Stephen,
I am happy to see you back with your refreshingly green pictures from the coast of British Isles.
The road leading to the lighthouse provides a good scale of the fantastic landscape.

Hello Stephen,
The big stones in foreground, together with the narrow path leads us nice to the background
A very nice perspective through the perfect choice of your angle, splendid vertical frame.
I like the V form of the Island.
Colours and presentation are very well, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Stephen,
We had not seen you on TE for a long time ! I am very happy to see again your pictures of Ireland and Scotland ;) Here I love the high point of view you chose to show us this wonderful point because it creates a great depth of field. The light is very nice and gives great colours. I love too the road driving us to the end of the point and to the lighthouse. If I go back to Isle of Skye, I won't miss this place I had no time to visit where I've been there 5 years ago ! TFS.

Olivier

Hi Stephen
Lovely contrast between the rich green grass and the huge boulders. Lots of depth too thanks to the long, thin path. Pretty light too.

Hi (again) Stephen,
Splendid place ! A nice composition, with nice colours and a marvellous difference of texture between the sea on the left of this picture, and the right part of the same sea much more agitated by the waves...
Congratulations,

Salut Stephen!
Emilius

Hi Stephen
you get a great shot due to the POV, the light, and of course the path which is leading our look at the bottom of the rock
Happy new year
