I think for the rest of the week Il upload various shots of Elgol beach in Skye. Each one will have a different look/mood and afew not often seen pov from this location.

The weather on Skye really does change by the minite and here it started raining quite heavy and the wind was getting up. I remember Joanna who was sitting in the car about 300 meters away was on the mobile telling me to wrap it up and get back to the campsite about 30 miles away!

Problem was concerning a campsite I had to camp out side of Skye because of some music festival and the campsites in Skye where all full. To reach Elgol on Skye you have to drive down a narrow single lane road for about 10 miles, to the village of Elgol, then walk around the small rocky outcrop at the end of the bay. Always worth the effort though because this little location is truly amazing. I had one evening and morning here but I really should have stayed 2-3 days and explored abit more.

This photo is technical perferct!
The different lights are manage in good way (HDR?) and the colour are all right.

Good Work.

CeccoPhoto!!

Hi Stephen,

What an amazing scene. You have done an amazing job with the crystal sharp foreground and the blurry sea and sky. Is that afterprocessing, and how??

Best wishes,

Henrik

Hi Stehpen
I can't get over the sharpness of the rocks and the way the bright green grass looks like it's hair growing out of them. They are so well lit too and contrast really well against the softer sea. The sky is so dramatic too.
Regards
Nikki

Great shot here Stephen. Lovely colours - especially the greens, I like how they just jump out at you. The wash is nice and slow and adds to the mood you were after. The sky has nice movement too and it draws the eye into the peak (not sure what that is near the top left of main peak - reflection?). Well done, TW

What a photo, very dramatic weather and amazing colors, very sharp details and good framing

Greetings

I think you did a different style here, most of the landscape shots i've seen where the perspective of the foreground is exaggerated are always in a vertical composition. With sky not striking and bland bg like this, i think the horizontal composition works well. Well done.

Hi Stephen,
a gorgeous foreground with its saturated greens, makes a very good photo!

Hi stephen,

Firstly, marvellous and good job, it is an amazing picture, both colour and darkness, I love that!!!
I would like to know what kind of adjustements did you use? Have you used an external light to highlight the green on the rocks? Have you modify your picture under photoshop?
How did you do to have this marvellous result?

I want to know!!! lol

Hi Stephen.

When I saw 'United Kingdom' I new this had to be Scotland! This is a very well captured picture. I like how much the green stands out in the foreground. Also the atmosphere in the background is just amazing! The blue gives it a great feeling!

Well done and thanks for sharing!

Hi Stephen

Very beautiful and colorful shot. Love the overall color and sharpness of this picture.
Good composition and great POV.

Lopshang.

Hi Stephen,
As technically perfect as it may be, I have to say I'm not really into that kind of picture. The PP is way too heavy IMHO and the whole scene looks fake, especially the light. I understand some people might like it but I'm not really convinced. I don't mean to be rude, I just wanted to add my thoughts on this.
Yours,
Philippe

Hi Stephen, back to United Kingdom for photo? ;-)
This is a good shot, specially i prefere the foreground which remember me the rock in the seafront in Brittany (just back from vacation in Brittany for me), a like the typical colors of algae, contrasting a lot with the dark sky. The sharpness is also perfect on foreground, also contrasting a lot whith the background clouds.
Well done.
Best regards,
Olivier

This is a fantastic scenario, and you knew how to get the rigth photo.
The blue hues sends us a chill (sure you felt a bit more). The saturated greens and the blurred water make our eyes wonder between them. And what a great sky.

Hi Stephen

a superb, dramatic and moody shot. Lovely composition, and i love the way the moss just jumps out at you. well done!

Regards
Derek

A dramatic and colorful shot. It has a fantastical feel that you bring to many of your photos.
