Photographer’s Note

This picture has been taken from the point of view next to the Old Man of Storr on the Island of Skye in Scotland. Can you see the man in this picture ? ;)

Sky is a rugged, convoluted island streching about 50 miles (80 Km) from end to end. This island is one of the most visited island in Scotland. We acces to this island by paying toll ( in and out) of the Skye Bridge opened in 1995.

Skye est une île avec une décor travaillé par le temps avec ces montagnes sculptés durement par les vents et les marées. Elle s'étends sur 80 km (50 Mi) dans l'océan Atlantique.

C'est une des îles les plus visitées en Écosse par les tourismes. On accède a cette île par le pont payant ( à l'entré et à la sortie) Skye Bridge qui a été inauguré en 1995.

Good capture Dave, like that mist in the backgtound and the strong statement made by the rocky peak.

Oui je vois l'homme effectivement ;-)
C'est superbe, mais je trouve le cadrage perfectible quand même.
J'aurais vu le pic un peu plus à droite afin de laisser ressortir les étendues d'eaux qui jonche le bas de ces montagnes!
Bravo quand même ton image est très sympathique!

Très beau sujet, bel usage de la température ambiante pour rendre le sujet sous un nouvel angle, intéressant comme image. (Moi je ne l'ai pas trouvé l'homme?)

Oui j'ai repéré l'homme. Quel sentiment de solitude votre photo m'inspire ! Grandeur et démesure, austérité et dépouillement aussi. Une photo qui apporte autant de sentiments est une photo réussie pour moi. Bravo Dave !

Good you caught that man! I like also green all around - makes the photo more cinsistent. Very special atmosphere.

Excellent landscape. Everything is nice except one small thing; sharpness. Though, I suspect it's your camera that's unable to deliver the sharpness since it's not a dSLR or SLR. However, taking that into consideration, it's an extremely beautiful picture.
