This is Linlithgow palace and church in Scotland it is no longer inhabited and has become somewhat of a tourist attraction, taken hand held canon 350D and polariser thank you for looking

Great photo, James. The light is soft and along with the reeds in foreground make for a very atmospheric photo. It looks a bit desolate and foreboding, like a good Scottish castle should! Nice one!

Very nice lighting on the castle although stronger light on the side of the church would have been nice as well. I like the reeds as they add foreground interest without obscuring the reflections in the water.

Nice lighting and good composition. The grasses make a good forground to accent the light on the church.

I drooled at Canon EOS 350D the other day in a camera shop, but cannot afford it! :-(
This is a wonderful picture of the palace you have taken in the mellow light. The depth of view is fantastic and the colours very natural.

Jim, you have some nice shots in your gallery, this one is especially nice, very well seen, the polarizer really seems to have set the contrast up very nicely.
