Photographer’s Note
This is a macro of a daffodil that I took at Balloch.
Balloch is a small village on the southern bank of Loch Lommand. It relys mainly on money brought in from tourism. The castle that can be seen in the background is Balloch Castle which was built in 1808 and overlooks the loch.
There are many tourist attrations at Balloch. The main one is Loch Lommond Shores which has several vistor centres and shops.
Balloch is within Scotlands only national park - Loch Lommond and the Trossachs. It is within an hours drive from the city of Glasgow and is a great place to spend a sunny day.

Hi Scott,
You have several interesting elements -like the background - in your shot but in my opinion, some points could be improved: first, the flower is not sharp. Take several shots just to make sure of that...that's the upside of digital cameras ,right? Second, to my mind, the flower shouldn't be centered. You could try a different POV to put it in the bottom right-hand corner for instance, so as to give more space and importance to this interesting castle in the background. Last, the overall picture is too dark. If your camera allows it, try different exposures. Mind you, this can be enhanced afterwards on your computer. Anyhow, I understand what brought you to shoot this 'cause there were interesting things to capture.
Keep it up.
Yours,
Philippe
