Photographer’s Note
Hi there,
This picture was taken on a beautiful April afternoon on the banks of the River Leny at the southern end of Loch Lubnaig. As a bit of luck while I was sitting on the riverbank having some lunch with my family three canoeist's made their way down the river.
Hope you like the picture, thanks for viewing!
Loch Lubnaig is a small loch near Callander in the Stirling area of Scotland. The loch which is 4 miles (6.5km) long runs from the Pass Of Leny to Strathyre. It nestles in the space between Ben Ledi and Ben Vorlich. Fed by the River Balvaig from the north and drained by the River Leny to the south, Loch Lubnaig offers fishing from the shore while canoes can be rented at the north end. Alternatively, two car parking areas on the east shore offer perfect, albeit sometimes busy, canoe launching points.
The route of the former Callander and Oban Railway runs along the west shore of the loch.
The name Lubnaig is a Gaelic one, meaning crooked.

Good evening, James!
You show us a really beautiful scenery here! Your photo transmits calm and relaxation in a pleasing way. These kayaks are wonderful eyecatchers here. I would like to step into the picture now ... ;-)
Greetings from cool and cloudy Germany!

James
The magnificent scenery itself would make a great shot in itself. However I think the canoes are a great addition and make the compostion really work.
