Photographer’s Note
Hi there, this picture was taken on a beautiful cold crisp day while decending Conic Hill on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond. It is a fantastic little climb which gives spectacular views over Loch Lomond & The Arrochar Alps. On a clear day it is possible to pinpoint Ben Lomond, Ben Vorlich, The Cobbler, Ben Ime and Ben Narnain etc. Hope you like the picture, thank you for viewing!

hello James,
the light and colours here are delicious! What else could be better for foreground interest in a scene like this but a Highland coo? The backdrop of snowy hills is perfect.

Hi James,
Great picture! The colour of the grazing cow matches the colours of the trees in the valley and then is so wonderfully off set by the crisp blue and white sky and mountains in the distance. Well done!

Hello, James,
a belated welcome to Trekearth and what a shot to be beginning with. Wow! Magnificent light, wonderful color, GREAT scene with just awesome depth. I love the long haired cow in the FG and those lovely reflections on the water. The frost on the grass adds a nice touch, too. Beautiful shot! Many thanks and kindest regards,
Shelly

Hi James
Really good composition with this special cow of Scotland in front of a dreaming landscape with differents plans. Low sunlight gives shadows (so a third dimension) and orange tones to the meadow.

You were so so lucky that Saturday with this light and weather! Your photos from that walk are incredible! You should sell them ;) I hope some weekend this winter we will have weather like this around Glasgow again.

Hello, James.
After a few weeks of absence from TE due to pressure of work, I've just been browsing your gallery here and am very impressed.
This picture is wonderful: what a lovely subject, perfectly composed with the Highland cow in the foreground nicely balancing the beautiful distant view with its wonderful reflections on the loch.
The colours and contrasts are superb and the whole picture is as sharp as a pin.
Nothing more to say other than:
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Every time I look at this photo, I think WOW. And wish I was there...
You'll need to give me a few pointers if I'm going to get results any way close to this.
Cheers
David~
