Photographer’s Note
A very British icon feeling sorry for itself.
These things are becoming quite rare to find but do pop up in rural areas around Scotland. Sometimes in quite odd locations.
I think this model is a K6.

A little narrow composition, but I also like these telephone boxes.

Hello Peter,
Welcome to Trekearth. I like the shot, but it would have been good to catch someone strolling by speaking into a cell phone. It is indeed a British icon. I grew up with them as a child in London, then came back to England (Oxford) in the 70s and intermittently in the 80s. I hope they restore and keep some of these structures.
Regards,
Bulent

Peter,
The description is hilarious! I wonder what the photo would have looked from a little further out? Also, a person walking by would have corroborated the phone booth's "sense of loneliness" per-se. A lot of texture captured here, very nice.
