Photographer's Note
Sometimes you have to stop what you are doing, stop the camera doing what its doing and move it to the best position to capture nature...
I was approx a 3rd of the way through another long exposure image when i spotted these clouds forming along the skyline.
I released the shutter back down and moved the camera into position on the Pier.
The camera is on a fully extended tripod here with the body and lens tipped about 30degs down to get the horizon just so and the elongation of the pier just right.
The hardest part was making sure i didn't get the legs in the frame.
Taken on the same shoot as the last one but about 25 mins before
53 second exposure (100 seconds less than the last one which gives you an idea how much the light levels changed)

John
la composition est parfaite et les couleurs sont fantastiques. Une parfaite maitrise technique pour cette photo très spectaculaire. C'est peut-être l'effet dans le ciel qui me plait le moins...trop "flou" pour moi?

Hello John, for me, it looks like a surrealistic painting. Just fantastic colors & nice symmetric composition. Very well done.

Hi John!
Mesmerizing shot. Great note as well. Those are the things that I look into the photo, the details why and how they captured their shots. Thanks for sharing them too, gives me idea on how to capture scenes such as this. I loved the colors, the clarity and sharpness. A very well handled image. The cloud's effect is really nice, gives you the feeling of motion, while its reflections provide a glassy feeling to the whole image. If I may ask, did you add blur on the clouds in your PP? ANyway! thanks for sharing! Looking forward to more of your photos!
Best reagrds,
Matt
P.S. Impressive gallery!

Hi,
What a beautiful photo. Love the vibrant colours in the sky and how they are reflected in the water. Composition is good as well and I was interested in how you achieved the shot.

Ola John ,
Bonita foto com uma boa sensação de movimento no céu devido ao uso do filtro , gostei muito das cores e do reflexo no lago , boa profundidade de foto , parabéns!!
