Photographer's Note
This is Stronachlachar Lodge, taken from very near to my last picture. It is a beautiful building in the Trossachs of Scotland with magnificent views across Loch Katrine.
You can book this place to stay fo a few days - or, at least, you could until recently, The residence is now up for sale and, if you have more than £400,000 to spare, you should look here and put in an offer!
This picture has been accepted by Panoramio for Google Earth and you can see a LARGER VERSION HERE.

Hi John
well, I guess i'm the first to view this one and the first to give you 2 pts :)
Its strange, but what I really like about it is seeing the tower on the far right as a reflection, not just the Lodge.
Very attractive lighting, wonderful subject, especially with the lodge 'perched' up on the small hillside.
I bet its a soothing walk around in this area, especially when complimented with your last photo/scene.
Wish I could be here!
enjoy your sunday tomorrow

This is a beauty, John, and once again the larger version reveals just so much more detail and color. You've composed this perfectly, with the lines of the horizon, the wall, the buoys all leading the eye to the right. The house is beautiful; I'm actually a little surprised the price is even that low! And the clouds kissing the top of the hill are beautifully captured. A really idyllic, wonderful scene. Thanks for sharing it.

John
Un joli petit pied-à-terre, particulièrement bien situé....mais au dessus de mes moyens malheureusement!Ta photo en fait une belle publicité pour la vente et j'espère que tu toucheras une commission de la part de l'agence immobilière!

Hi John,
Nice place. Pity I haven't this money, the offer is tempting. Wonderful shot, I like the brown colours of the hills, spectacular reflections, nice eyecatching little buoys.
A few days there wouldn't be bad.
Warm regrads

Hello John ,
What a splendid white house on the banks of the Loch ! The buildings contrasts so well with its surrounding . The reflections are superb , in the perfect mirror .
About the price , it seems to me that is not especially high . In my region , you don't get as well for the same cost . But may be houses are not very expensive in Scotland ?

Ciao John
un riflesso fantastico, l'acqua è proprio uno specchio.
Bellissimi i colori della natura con l'abitazione bianca che contrasta magnificamente.
Buona domenica

Hello John
This is a charming spot, and you've chosen a good time of day to make your photograph, when the low afternoon sun is striking the fells beyond the house. The still loch creates beautiful reflections. I don't know where you stand on photo-manipulation, but I find the pylon on the hill is a distraction: I think I'd have re-framed in the viewfinder, or used the old clone tool to remove it. But probably you'll say it's there, so it's part of the reality of the scene. Purist!

Hi John
now that is a house and a half! What an amazing place to stay let alone live in. The detail and quality of this image are perfect and the colours so beautiful and striking. I really like the enticing line of little yellow floats. An immaculate execution and glorious presentation.
Have a pleasant Sunday - Brian.

Hello John,
This is a beautiful house.
Scotland prices are very reasonable compared with those locally!
I love how you have captured the beautifully saturated scene and its complete reflection.
The floats, the yellow one particularly, are important guides.
Excellent composition.
Have a lovely Sunday,
Bev :-)

Hi John,
Like Andrew mantns above, I also am quite surprised that the price of this Manson is so low, I would have expected this to be over a million. Perhaps that I'd down to how well you h ave composed the picture, it looks I've a an incredible place. I guess the closest I could hope to come to owning this for the moment would be a nights b&b, but even that would be a pleasure. Wonderful reflection and excellent colours.
All the best

Gidday dear Giovanni
You know you're onto a good thing when even electrical wires look great in a photo. And here they indeed do. Love the glassy reflections, in fact, you could flip this photo upside down and they're just as clear as the real thing. The red hills are my favourite element overall. As to the way you composed the photo, I think it's fine, and I know why you included the little yellow buoy in the water on the left, to sort of anchor the shot. My criticism is a small one, but I probably would have cropped that part out, the trees on the left leave a sort of dead space in the image and so cropping most of them out would have concentrated more on the beautiful old house on the left and balanced the photo more, leaving a house at either end of the image. But that's only my opinion, others would no doubt disagree and they'd probably be right. In any event, this is a corker, a real masterpiece in light and colour. Thanks for sharing.
Un abbraccio
Lisa

Hello John
A crystal clear image sharp from front to back. I love the stillness of the water and the clear perfect symmetry of the reflection. My eye is continually drawn to that yellow lane marker as a point of interest and there are so many things to look at here. The main house, the house in the distance, the pylon. the colours. An absorbing interesting shot.

Dear John,
Not been around much as been slightly under the weather. I love the warm colours and mirror-like reflections in this one. The low cloud is just touching the top of the mountain which is lovely. We quenched our thirst in the bar at this place on a very hot day!
Best wishes, Ann
