Stirling.... Photo

Photographer’s Note

A view of Stirling, the town which is considered the "entrance" to the Scottish Highlands.

Where I took this picture from? Well...just from one of the walls of its impressive castle (I promise to post some pictures)

Why I took this picture? Due to the architecture. In Spain is difficult to have the same style in the buildings and here...all the constructions are equal (or close to it). I know that this "effect" is not only in Scotland (I saw too in other countries) but always fascinates me....

quite an interesting aerial - the place looks like a patchwork, irregularly scattered houses coated with the greenery create an interesting pattern...

Hello Oscar,
Yes, a "repetitive, zig-zag" architecture pieces (if I may use these words!), which makes the image curious and interesting :)
I like the colours, they look natural.

I know what it means "to have a lot of work to do"!:( I'm so busy myself... anyway whenever I have an opportunity I come to see the photos.

Yes you're right in many places in the UK you'd find rows of similar houses and they are actually quite unique and interesting in repeating a pattern, here you do not have a row but they mix with the greens of the trees adding repeated contrasting touches.

Kind of grey village Oscar and I can understand your reaction of the confirm way of archetechture. at this place. Should be interesting to see. Compowise well working with the houses as main subjects in the setting.

Repeating patterns always fascinate me. You show typical British architecture from a good high viewpoint. It seems that town planning over there has been quite contolled over there for ages. But I really can't call that dark brown stone architecture beautiful.

que has tornat a Escòcia??? jajajaja i jo sense saber-ho... no tenia controlada aquesta foto... i vaya foto! Doncs sí ja tens raó que estem pocs acostumats a veure aquestes construccions que has fotografiat tan bé!

Good pov to show the structure of an old town crowd with architectures and separated by clumps, all architectures in square design and in same color make the town look very tidy, nice color and distinct image, good shoot.

It's true that Great Britain is one of those countries where they insist on keeping the same style. I think the mediterranean style where people can make a choice, by keeping certain criteria of course, is more playful and fits our mood. The composition is splendid of course, stylistically and with a careful touch to it

Tremenda foto de arquitectura, parece como una minatura, un juguete para ninos! Ese tipo de arquitectura "repetida", mezclada con la naturaleza, es algo que no se puede ver en nuestro Meditarraneo "anarquista"! Gran encuadre y composicion, perfecto manejo de la luz, impresionante definicion! Felicidades!

impressionant aquesta uniformitat arquitectònica, això no ho havien fet ni els soviètics en els seus millors temps.
Espero veure el castell del teu POV tan alt, que ens dóna una magnífica perspectiva. M'agrada el contrast dels grisos del poble amb els verds dels prats i dels arbres, en perfecta harmonia.

La foto que te comenté ayer, no me deja ponerle una sonrisa hoy, nunca me había pasado esto...
Buena perspectiva de este lugar muy "inglés" en lo que a arquitectura se refiere.
Me gusta la urbanización mezclada con gran cantidad de árboles. Excelentes detalles y colores.
