Hi Manoj,

Oh, Er, well, I'm not that sure about this - I mean, whether this is a red tailed hawk or not - have a wee look here and I just think its beak is a bit too yellow - unless, of course, this is a young bird - it could be because the feathers look a bit "fluffy".

Anyway, I guess that's really beside the point. This is a stunningly good photograph, taken at a very long (300mm) focal length and with excellent detail and sharpness and a wonderfully out of focus background. Your focus is perfect - bang on that lovely big eye! Lovely colours too and perfect exposure.

P.S. I haven't been to Blair Drummond for a long time. Tell me, Manoj, are there plenty of opportunities to get some reasonable pictures there? Or is it quite difficult to get decent shots? You know, some places like this seem to be quite good whereas others are pretty hopeless from the photographic point of view!
