This was the third attempt at a long exposure from this spot
The previous 2 had failed not down to exposure length focus or anything technical..
They failed because the tripod had sunk into the ground slightly during the shooting
Normally i have a few broken plastic flower pots in the car. I was finding it difficult to find rubbish to prop my tripod on so thought best to carry some :-)

But on this occasion i had forgotten to lift them out the car and the nearly 1 mile trek back for them did not fill me with joy + the sun was setting so it was a no go..
The third time i stamped as heard as my wellies allowed on the ground to compact the loose soil which had not long been turned.
