Photographer's Note
Taken during the same morning walk around Lanark Loch as this picture and this one, I liked how the early morning mist hung in the trees with the sunlight struggling to pierce it.
This is part of the one mile perimeter track around Lanark Loch, on the outskirts of the small Scottish town of Lanark, a popular place for walkers, dog owners and those wishing some gentle or even strenuous exercise.

Hi, It was very nice walk and it gave you wonderful shots. Again marvelous view of the misty forest. The curve of the road beautifully placed and very attractive reflection of the trees, like on Escher drawing. nbrautiful red colour of the path.
We had very short autumn, suddenly came winter already. it was so much of the fresh snow, that many branches of the trees broke.
Warm regrads

Hello John,
So you return again to this misty morning walk and I can understand why. The dark brown path makes a gentle bend between the still fresh looking lawns as you pass a green bench, probably wet, and the puddle gives you some nice reflections. The mist among the trees right in the centre of the photo is pure magic.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello John,
Very nic autumnal scenery perfect captured.
Your portrait format fits perfect to the scenery and the bonus of this capture is absolutely the small water with nice reflctions.

Hi John
great to see you back, its no longer the weekend! :)
You're on a roll eh! thats a few of these in a row now.
as for the water reflection, thats a bonus - now it may not be the most elegant of water reflections ever seen on TE lol but a nice addition to compliment the scene :)
I'm still waiting to see that scotsman sitting on that bench!
you have succeeded very well in these last 3 or 4 posts, each one similar, but yet each one different.
I'm loving the misty fog slowly creeping up over the hillsides, wonderful ambiance and mixtures of lighting here.
PS
I got back to you about the focal lengths of my extreme wide angle....not sure if you read it or not. Its a discussion on one of my previous posts.
take care, see you around

Hi John,
The very first impression I had of this picture was a man lying on the road. I saw his head and his body... Of course he was in a very reflective mood here;) But I can´t get rid of the slightly spooky feeling of this picture, there is a very special mood here of loneliness. A very fine picture though!
Kind regards
Gunnar

Good morning John,
You have captured a very beautiful moment here. The soft lighting is magical and perfectly managed to capture the detail in the path and the darker foreground as well as the light background. The reflections in the puddle lend great interest to the foreground and are wonderfully sharp.
Have a great week

hi john
A misty and mystic atmosphere! I like the contrasts of the brown hues of the path against the green of the lawn. The lonely bench is waiting for ghosts maybe. The trees reflection in the puddle is also eye catching.
Go on visiting this park for our pleasure (and yours, I suppose!)

Hi John
like this a lot. Full of that autumnal tranquillity and atmosphere that heralds the return of winter. The light management and DOF here are just perfect and the overall effect one of exquisite beauty and intrigue. Super image.
Have a good week - Brian.

Hi John,
this was really a very fruitful walk. Each photo seems so different in atmosphere. Very well spotted and used puddle. It provides the opportunity for the reflection which every photographer tries to get whenever possible.
Great composition with the bench and the path which disappears behind the turn. The fog makes the atmosphere very mysterious.
Excellent work!!

Good Morning John,
It doesn't surprise me that you have returned to this scene; it seems to have been a powerfully photographic location, especially with the 'mood' of the mist.
The reflection in the puddle gives that f/g attantion, full of clarity, before the path leads, with its soft warmth, to the contrasting coolness of the misty wood.
Beautifully compsed.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Ciao caro Giovanni
Hoooo Weee! What a shot. I bet Big Giovanni is delighted with himself. You and this park really work well together, don't you! And if this is what results from old Scottish fellas hanging around a park at odd hours, then I'm all for it ;) The mist is amazing, and I love the way the rain has illuminated the colours of the grass and dirt. The vertical frame is perfect and the partial reflection in the puddle...gold medal material. Congratulations dear friend, it's a beauty.
Un abbraccio
