This is a picture taken three days ago of the Mouse Valley (pronounced Moose), just a few minutes walk from our home. We had had quite a heavy fall of snow just the day before.
You can see a picture taken from almost the same spot in springtime here and you might be able to distinguish the same big red shed and the large white house in the distance.
The temperature at the time this picture was taken was about -12░C, very unusual for lowland Scotland at this time of year. Until very recently, it has been very rare for us to have any snow before Christmas.
Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE6.

Very Christmassy winter scene. I love viewing beautiful winter scenes as long as I stay in warm Las Vegas. I like your pov and it has a good dof with sharp details even the snow. Well done, tfs.

excelent pov to show off this wintery landscape.I especially like the shadow in the fg that forms a triangle, the tip of which touches the red shed.(Immediately I think of Peter & Gunnar, Peter for the triangle & Gunnar for his beloved splash of red).Nice light and I like he frame filled with snow...all gone here today.

This is a great shot taken from a fine POV. The red building provides a fine focal point for the shot. The vertical format emphasizes the depth of the scene. The lighting and colors are outstanding as is the photo's sharpness.

In spite of the red "detail" I missed this picture when it was new. It is indeed quite incredible that just one small detail can make such an improvement to a picture... The triangle is also very obvious. The comparison with summer is very interesting.
A very happy new year to you too and many thanks for all critique and support during last year!
