This is the clyde river at Bothwell, Lanarkshire. There was a large tree which has become wedged in the river with no leaves and I saw this lonely bird perched on it.

Very nice composition indeed. Great silhouettes of tree and bird.
I would have turned the picture to black and white maybe? I think that could work also.
