Photographer's Note

Built in Red Standstone, this Castle is in Bothwell, a 20 minute drive from Glasgow. It lies on the side of the river Clyde and there is a nice walkway along the riverside all the way to the Davis Livingstone centre.
Construction of the castle was begun in the 13th century by the ancestors of Clan Murray, to guard a strategic crossing point of the Clyde. Bothwell played a key role in Scotland's Wars of Independence
