Good Morning Everyone,
This area of dunes is between the Royal Troon Golf Course and the sea.
I was most interested to see which plants were consolidating the dunes and found that the Golf Club had been responsible for altering the dunes at this, the Prestwick end of the course. A very comprehensive study, relating to flora and fauna had been carried out and very careful consideration had been given to the height and the composition of the new dune.
Although rosebay willowherb and great willowherb are not my favourite plants, they make a colourful display, here, and are doing a great job of helping to consolidate the dunes.
Thanks for your interest, Bev :-)

Very beautiful seascape, title and colours.

You have balanced sand, sea and vegetation very nicely and included a human being, which I think is never wrong. The plants provide fince colours to this generally pleasant photo.

I like the low point of view, which illustrates your point perfectly, and the presence of the figure who helps create depth for the scene. Nicely illuminated and with excellent colours and clarity. The purple flowers offer a fine contrast against the golden sands and the green foliage.

living next to the sea as I do, it would be easy to take scenes like this for granted, but it is an ever changing vista, dictated by the seasons and weather so always fascinating. This is a fine example of its beauty and also how mother nature wants to fill the empty spaces. Irresistible!

A well-planned composition with pleasant natural colours. The walker assists perspective and scale plus adds human interest.
It seems as though the plants for this stabilisation project are native.
Dune stabilisation is also important in Australia. However, sand miners introduced Bitou bush from Africa for dune stabilisation on the east coast of NSW. It is a noxious weed that smothers native flora. Much effort is now expended in a never ending battled to replace the Bitou bush with native flora.

Lovely capture, nice low POV showing nice colours and how the golf club has worked with nature to manage the dunes. Nicely composed to give just a hint of sea with the dunes being the focal point.

I have to admit, i know almost NOTHING about plants or flowers - I couldn't know the name/species of a flower if my life depended on it.
I do know photography though, and i know i like this scene you've composed.
there's a nice balance to this confusion :)
its a photo in clearly divided sections from right to left, yet it flows well together to create 1 uniform subject.
excellent light and exposure

bella composizione, i fiori arricchiscono i colori già molto belli del paesaggio e il blu di cielo e mare lo completano.
Bello scatto, con bella luce e ottima qualità.

a very lovely and interesting beach, with sand, sea and flowers. I like very much your simple and elegant composition that has given a lot of depth and space to the extraordinary landscape and has provided pleasant, smooth contrast with the blue sky above. The person walking towards the sea makes the scene even more inviting, the textures have marvelous naturalness and the colours are a delight. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

A lovely seaside place for a walk. Those willowherbs look big from this angle! And they indeed add colour. While this one clearly has the plants as the main subject, seeing just a little of water leaves me curious.

Pssst, hey Bev....you wanna' buy a gold necklace...really cheap?!! lol Loved your comment and memories of Chinatown, I have some of the very same. :)
Now, off of the busy NYC streets and onto the golf course...and seaside. If I were to play a round here, I could guarantee I would end up polluting the water with golf balls...great sport, but I can never hit 'em straight!? Oh well, at least I could take a nice walk like this...and who wouldn't enjoy this setting and atmosphere? Looks like a most pleasing display of nature, simple and beautiful....just keep an eye out for stray shots! :) Enjoy the new day. Take good care.

A very beautiful summer holiday picture. I guess this particular day was as hot in Scotland as it was in Sweden (we had around 30°C that day). It looks really very warm here. The red fireweed provide fine colours and the man adds life and interest to the picture.

Bel endroit de promenade entre mer et terre, les fleurs ajoute de la beauté en plus du paysage

It's much more interesting than what it looks from the thumbnail! You made a beautiful compo, where the human figure participates, being in the point where the main lines converge. The colours are also very nice, although it looks a bit on the "red" side.

Nice capture of this beautiful landscape with very good layout.
The lonesome walker adds life to the scenery.
TFS and best regards

une belle composition avec un point de vue très bien choisi. J'aime beaucoup le mélange de la végétation, du sable et de la mer.

Hello Bev - A super note to accompany this lovely shot. I agree that rosebay willowherb is not the prettiest of wildflowers but the pink flowers look wonderful here. This looks like a very nice place for a wander and its nice to follow in the footsteps of the figure who leads us into the scene.

This is a fine composition with excellent framing and exposure. The foreground is made attractive by the variety of colours and textures of the sand, the beautiful flowers and other vegetation and you have captured it all with great sharpness and lovely natural colours. The man, of course, makes a great focal point and the deep blue sea and clear sky provide the perfect atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing and have a great new week.
