Photographer's Note

David Mellor, one time MP, then had a brief radio career, broadcasting for a classical music channel. His programme was based on the ( I thought then ) rather clever idea, that if you liked that, then you will like this. If there was a problem with the concept, he was often wrong, and I didn't.

But you see the idea cropping up again, and again, on shopping websites, were they endeavour to coerce you into buying more, by using the very same idea, that others shoppers went on to buy this or this, and also bought that or that. Any idea more conducive to making the population bland, homogeneous and unthinking I cannot imagine, and it should be stopped !

But anyway, maybe, if you liked that, then you might like this.

Captured the same day, a few miles further down the coast, the image is very similar, not surprisingly. The main post is looking slightly northwards, the WS is looking in the opposite direction, towards the Galloway hills.

As with Ardrossan yesterday, Streetview shows Troon in a rather better light.
