Photographer’s Note

A view of a pretty bay in Shetland called Gulberwick.

Gulberwick is a once quiet village, now awash with large family homes due to its proximity to the main town of Lerwick.

However the beach and bay remain serene and it is an ideal place to catch a summer sunrise or a winter sunset.

I used a 2-stop graduated filter and a polarizer on this shot.

Beautiful soft light makes this a treat. You've nicely composed it with excellent sharpness throughout. I love that soft pink band in the sky near the horizon.

The wide angle look and fell is fantastic in this shot. The lee filter reduces the light of the sky and the result is really good

The light here is excellent, in particular in the foreground rocks, allowing for lots of details and textures. The sky is also very nice with that soft pinkish colour. Well done.

Its a grand view with gorgeous off blue tones and brilliant detail and epth in the rocks below. The lighting is magical in this one, the grad and the photographer has made this image superb. Excellent work

I love the atmosphere of your picture. The light is very peaceful and the sky is so beautiful ! You used very well the rocks in the foreground to have a good DOF.
