Photographer’s Note
Shot in the evening light down at the shoreline in the grounds of Shetlands new museum.
Shot at ISO400 accidentally - I do this all the time, I wish my EOS 30D permanently displayed the ISO in the viewfinder!

Hi Craig,
Can't see anything wrong with that iso400 stuff, it's a Canon, so don't worry ;-)
The light you captured here is warm with a sense of blue which i like that a lot. Good perspective created with the two boats and the museum in the back. Although not as famous as your landscapes, i like also to see such images from the Shetlands.
Have a nice day, Henk

Hi Craig
I really like the way you framed the boats on the foreground. It's clear and sharp ! No visible problems related to ISO400
Cheers

Beautiful light Craig. And the ISO 400 is not that bad at all on the 30D. The composition is good - although simple - and the depth created by it is great too. But my favorite is really the way you captured the light (and shadows) here.

Hello Greg !
Great compo and beautiful light as well ! The sharpness is also fine. The lower part of the shot is on "red" tones and the upper on "blue" tones. Its a good stuff Greg.
All the best for you.

Craig,
Great colors and excellent DOF and sharpness. The low angle lighting creates wonderful shadows and line in the photo. I like the low perspective used here giving the small boats in the FG dominance over the large boat and buildings in the BG.

Hi Craig,
Nice shot and contrast on the shot. A nice exposure considering the high ISO. Just what Henk said.. :)
Check the histogram after the initial shot...
Well done and TFS!

Hello Craig,
Nice shot of this place you made us discovering. The composition is well equilibrated with those 2 boats in foreground and the "house" in background.
The lateral warm lightning is good on the wood of the boats.
For Canon and the display of the iso setting, I totally agree with you. Seems that on the last new camera 450D and 40D it is now the case.
Yves.

Hello Craig,
Je découvre aujourd'hui ta belle galerie... Belle image, ici, avec un beau contraste couleurs chaudes/couleurs froides. C'est très bien réalisé.
Je repasse
