Photographer’s Note
Today a post from a previous shoot, but this time with the White Balance uncorrected.
The camera recorded the scene as this, and, although exaggerated, the warmth of the magenta cast is more akin to being there, than a corrected cold blue scene in previous posts.
Thanks for looking
Craig

Hi Craigh,
a nice image, the long pose gives a good effect on the water and the soft tones are simply great.

There are plenty of great elements within this picture. The long exposure creates a wonderful effect and the sky looks amazing. It's almost like the clouds are surrounding the sun. Good water to sky ratio as well.

great shot, Craig, I actually like a lot the magenta cast, the result looks like something from a different planet. the silky effect of the long exposure adds to the dreamy mood, while the rough textures of the rocks "anchor" the scene. superb work, my compliments.

Hi Craig,
I am almost never bothered by color casts in low light images - except maybe tungsten lit street scenes. For some reason my eye is especially forgiving on coastal and snow scenes and I often find I actually enjoy the slight color cast more. This is a good example where I find the magenta adds to the mood but doesn't feel unnatural. I prefer this one to the latest image you posted from this location because I like that there is more detail in the shadows which keeps my eye exploring the whole frame.
Cheers!
Bob G.
